Yokohama F. Marinos have acquired Japan striker Yuki Otsu from Kashiwa Reysol, the J. League first-division side said Wednesday.

The 27-year-old Otsu was a key member of the men’s under-23 national squad that helped Japan reach the semifinals at the London Olympics in 2012.

Otsu, who started his career with Kashiwa in 2008, moved to German Bundesliga club Borussia Moenchengladbach in the summer of 2011 before switching to Dutch Eredivisie side VVV-Venlo a year later.

He re-signed with Kashiwa in 2015 and scored one goal in 16 league appearances last season.
