BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA – Japan fullback Ayumu Goromaru was named Tuesday to the bench for the Queensland Reds’ Super Rugby preseason game against the Brumbies.
Goromaru, who joined the Brisbane-based side this week, was named among the reserves for Friday’s game, the Reds’ second and final warm-up before they start the season on Feb. 27. Goromaru arrived in Brisbane on Saturday and took part in his first practice on Monday.
He will be joined on the bench at Balleymore Stadium by fellow Japan international Hendrik Tui.
