HOUSTON – London Olympic silver medalist weightlifter Hiromi Miyake won the women’s 48-kg bronze medal at the world championships on Saturday.
The 30-year-old Miyake snatched 85 kg and lifted 108 in the clean and jerk to secure her hardware with a total of 193 kg to take a big step toward reaching her fourth Olympic Games next summer in Rio de Janeiro.
