TASHKENT – Japan failed to win a medal on Friday in the final women’s weight class at the world championships, when Rio Watari lost in the first round of the 63-kg category.
Watari’s defeat to last year’s beaten finalist, Mongolia’s Battsetseg Soronzonbold, saw the women finish with four golds and one silver medal.
