Takahiro Norimoto threw a two-hitter for his second shutout of the season, Kazuya Fujita delivered a two-run single and the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles blanked the Yokohama BayStars 4-0 in a rain makeup game on Thursday night in Sendai.

Norimoto (5-3), the 2013 Pacific League Rookie of the Year, struck out 11 batters and walked none in a 109-pitch outing at Kobo Stadium. The right-hander didn't allow a runner to reach second base.

The Eagles snapped their losing streak at five.

The first run scored on shortstop Noriharu Yamazaki's errant throw to first with runners on first and second in the first, when Yokohama attempted a double play after Motohiro Shima hit a comebacker to the mound. Shima came home from third one out later when Andruw Jones got caught in a rundown between first and second base.

Fujita singled in two runs with two outs in the seventh. BayStars starter Hisanori Takahashi (0-4) yielded two unearned runs in six innings of the loss.
