NEW YORK – All-Star right-hander Hisashi Iwakuma, who made his first rehab start of the season and pitched four innings for Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday, will next play on Friday, possibly for the Seattle Mariners.
“He’ll (Iwakuma) pitch somewhere Friday. I’m not sure where yet,” Mariners manager Lloyd McClendon said Tuesday, as Iwakuma rejoined the team and threw a bullpen session at Yankee Stadium.
