Sara Takanashi prevailed again Sunday with a third straight victory of the World Cup season.

Japan's 17-year-old Sochi Olympic medal hopeful jumped 96 meters and then 98.5 meters for a total of 239.9 points, 12 points ahead of Russia's Irina Avvakumova in second place.

"The conditions were difficult because the winds kept coming and going," Takanashi said. "But I managed to do what I needed to do. I'm really not thinking about the winning streak.

"I want to stay focused on my performances."

Takanashi leads the overall standings with a perfect 300 points. Austrian Daniela Iraschko is second with 205, followed by Avvakumova in third on 155.

Takanashi has 11 World Cup wins for her career, moving within one of the record held by American Sarah Hendrickson, who is working her way back from a knee-ligament injury.
