Kei Nishikori lost to Rajeev Ram in the quarterfinals of the Hall of Fame Championships on Thursday, conceding total defeat to the world No. 118.

Nishikori was eliminated 7-6 (7-6), 6-3 by the American on the same type of grass as Wimbledon, where the Olympics will be held in two weeks. He had one ace to Ram’s six, and could only spot 58 percent of his first serves in the second set.
