Yoshinori Fujimoto, in just his second year as a pro and his first on tour, hit the jackpot on Sunday when he won the Japan Tour Championship Citibank Cup.

The 22-year-old out of Sendai's Tohoku Fukushi University fired a 3-under-par 68 to finish two strokes ahead of Masamichi Uehira, who started the day in a tie for second.

The only blemish on Fujimoto's card was a bogey on the par-4 17th hole. Uehira had birdied Nos. 16 and 17 but was by then out of the race for the ¥30 million first-prize money.
