FC Tokyo secured promotion back to the J. League first division after one season in J2 following a 5-1 win away to Gainare Tottori on Saturday.

Masato Morishige set the ball rolling with the opener on 23 minutes before Lucas, Tatsuya Yazawa, Tatsuya Suzuki and Kazumasa Uesato all got their names on the scoresheet in an emphatic win at Torigin Bird Stadium.

Tokyo remains top of the table with 74 points, securing a top-three finish as it moved 12 clear of fourth-place Consadole Sapporo, who play away to Thespa Kusatsu on Sunday, with two rounds left.

Third-place Tokushima Vortis beat Shonan Bellmare 2-1 away while second-place Sagan Tosu (65) are in action at home to Giravanz Kitakyushu on Sunday.
