Japan’s upcoming World Cup qualifier in North Korea will be played on the artificial surface at Kim Il Sung Stadium in Pyongyang, the Japan Football Association said Wednesday.
North Korea had played their first two home games at Yanggakdo Stadium, but made the switch because the cold weather would have made the natural turf unsuitable for play, according to the Asian Football Confederation.
