The Seibu Lions said Wednesday they have shortened a three-game series against the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles and switched it to Ojiyama stadium in Shiga Prefecture from Seibu Dome.

The Lions had originally been scheduled to face Rakuten in three evening games from April 26-28, but with nighters having been scrapped for April to conserve energy in areas affected by the March 11 earthquake and tsunami, they will now play a two-game series on April 26 and 27. Both games start at 6 p.m.

Seibu has already switched its scheduled home season opener against the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters to Sapporo and will not play any games in Saitama Prefecture in April.

The Pacific and Central Leagues both begin their seasons on April 12.
