Mika Miyazato fell one stroke short of her ninth career top-10 finish on the U.S. tour after bogeying the last two holes at the Honda LPGA Thailand on Sunday.

The lesser-known 21-year-old Miyazato shot a 2-over 74 to finish the season-opening event tied for 13th at 2-under 286 at Siam Country Club.

Mika Miyazato canceled out a double bogey on the par-4 sixth hole with birdies on Nos. 10 and 15 before the late bogeys.

Compatriots Momoko Ueda and Ai Miyazato closed with 75s, leaving them tied for 18th at 1 over and 29th at 4 over, respectively.

"I was able to play patiently through four days," said Ai Miyazato, the 2010 champion of the tournament.

"I didn't get the result I wanted, but I feel like what I was working on in the offseason wasn't wrong. My shots were pretty good. The result would have been a bit different if I had made a putt sometime at key moments."
