IWATA, Shizuoka Pref. (Kyodo) Jubilo Iwata have extended manager Masaaki Yanagishita's contract for the 2011 season, the J. League first-division club announced Friday.
The 50-year-old Yanagishita led Jubilo to the Nabisco Cup title this year, its first trophy in seven years. Iwata finished 11th in the league this season.
Yanagishita first coached Jubilo in 2003 before managing Consadole Sapporo from 2004 to 2007. He returned to the Yamaha club as manager in 2009.
