Manager Kiyoshi Okuma will remain in charge of FC Tokyo for the 2011 season, the relegated J. League club announced Thursday.

An assistant to Takeshi Okada at the World Cup this summer, the 46-year-old Okuma took over the team in September after Hiroshi Jofuku was fired.

Okuma, however, could not keep Tokyo in the first division as the club had three draws and four defeats down the stretch, including a horrific 2-0 loss to 10-man Kyoto Sanga on the final weekend of the season.
