Free agent and former Yokohama BayStar Seiichi Uchikawa had his first sit-down at the negotiation table with the Hiroshima Carp on Thursday.
"I was told that this was historic and I feel this is something great. The manager (Kenjiro Nomura) told me he wants me to change the team for the better," said Uchikawa.
Sources said Hiroshima has offered the 28-year-old Uchikawa a three-year, ¥600 million deal.
"I'm really not sure yet. I still want to hear from other clubs and I can't just throw away the 10 years that I've had with Yokohama," he said.
