KOBE (Kyodo) Leandro Domingues scored his second goal of the afternoon in extra time as second-division leaders Kashiwa Reysol edged top-flight strugglers Vissel Kobe 2-1 in the third round of the Emperor's Cup on Monday.

Just when the first half of extra time was about to end, the Brazilian hit the winner for Kashiwa, who had been reduced to 10 men after defender Naoya Kondo was sent off in the 61st minute.

World Cup player Yoshito Okubo's 80th-minute header had canceled out Leandro Domingues' opener in the 37th.

Kashiwa set up a meeting with holders Gamba Osaka in the round of 16 on Sunday.

"We just continue to play our football," Kashiwa manager Nelsinho said after the win that could boost the team toward promotion back to the first division.

"Against Gamba, we'll do our best to be the winners. That's all," he said.

In other third-round action, Urawa Reds beat Tokushima Vortis 2-0 thanks to an Edmilson 31st-minute penalty and an own goal in the 43rd.

Rafael scored twice to lead Omiya Ardija to a 3-0 victory over Oita Trinita. Former South Korean international Lee Ho had his first goal with the Saitama club.

Goals from Naohiro Ishikawa and Sota Hirayama earned FC Tokyo a 2-0 win over Giravanz Kitakyushu.
