Japan-born North Korea striker Chong Tese bagged a brace to lead VfL Bochum to a 3-2 victory at home to 1860 Munich in their season opener in the German second division on Monday.

Giovanni Federico fired Bochum in front after 13 minutes before Chong restored his side’s lead seven minutes before the interval, the ex-Kawasaki Frontale marksman heading in Bjorn Kopplin’s cross after Djordje Rakic had equalized for the visitors midway through the half.
