CHIBA (Kyodo) Former national team forward Seiichiro Maki will make a permanent move to Russian Premier League club Amkar Perm.

Amkar and JEF United Chiba have agreed terms on Maki's transfer, Sugao Kanbe, technical director of the J. League second-division club, said late Sunday.

The two sides will work out details of his contract and the 29-year-old is scheduled to fly to Russia within days to visit Amkar's facilities, Kanbe said.

Maki has not scored in 13 J. League games this season, eight times as a substitute.

Maki was a surprise pick in Japan's 2006 World Cup squad at the expense of Tatsuhiko Kubo, who then national team coach Zico decided was not in good enough physical condition to take to Germany.
