SHIMA, Fukuoka Pref. (Kyodo) Ryo Ishikawa held a one-shot lead and 14-year-old Masamichi Ito became the youngest player to ever make the cut in a JGTO event at the Vana H Cup KBC Augusta tournament Saturday.

Ishikawa shot a 1-under 71 in the third round to reach 14-under 202, one ahead of Jun Kikuchi and in-form Hiroyuki Fujita at Keya Golf Club.

Kikuchi charged up the leaderboard with a 65, while Fujita carded a 69. Tomohiro Kondo moved into a six-way tie for fourth at 12-under after a 64, the day's low round.

Ito, who turned 14 earlier this month, just made the cut at 3-under as the suspended second round was completed earlier Saturday. The eighth-grader added a third-round 73 to tie for 59th.

Previously, Ryota Ito made the cut at the Suntory Open in September 2004 at 14 years, 2 months, 7 days.
