World No. 2 Roger Federer and teenager Kei Nishikori are scheduled to appear in the Japan Open in October, organizers said Tuesday.

Federer will be looking to claim his second title at the Oct. 5-11 event at Ariake Tennis Forest Park after beating England’s Tim Henman 6-3, 6-3 in his Japan Open debut in 2006.
