Outfielder Tatsuya Ozeki will get a tryout with the Colorado Rockies in early March at their spring training site in Tucson, Ariz., baseball sources said Thursday.

It will be his second attempt to sign with a major league club after he was set to sign a minor league deal with the Milwaukee Brewers in 2006 but later found that all the spots for their minor league foreign players had been filled.

The 1998 Pacific League Rookie of the Year returned to Japan and played three more seasons before being released by the Yokohama BayStars last October.

"I know it's difficult, but I'd like to take advantage of limited chances and find a way to play in the majors," Ozeki said.
