KASHIMA, Ibaraki Pref. (Kyodo) Kashima Antlers took a big step toward reaching the knockout stage of the Asian Champions League for the first time with a 1-0 win over Beijing Guoan on Wednesday.
Kashima went three points clear of Beijing at the top of Group F after overcoming its stiffest opponent so far thanks to a second-half effort from Brazilian midfielder Danilo.
