Veteran outfielder Kazuhiro Wada signed a three-year contract worth an estimated ¥840 million plus performance incentives with the Chunichi Dragons on Wednesday. "It's encouraging that I can play baseball for the team I love," Wada, who is from Gifu, north of Nagoya, and a longtime Dragons fan, said at a press conference. The 2005 Pacific League batting champion became a free agent after playing the last 11 seasons for the Seibu Lions. Wada, 35, has hit .317 lifetime with 177 homers and 543 RBIs in 958 games.
