The 2008 J. League season will kick off on March 8 and run through Dec. 6 with a break of over one month for World Cup qualifiers, the league announced Tuesday.
The Xerox Super Cup, the traditional curtain raiser for a new J. League season, will be held on March 1 before the first and second divisions open their new seasons a week later.
