Overnight leader Shinobu Moromizato remained on course for her first major title after shooting a 1-under 71 in the third round of the Japan Women’s Open on Saturday. Moromizato made two birdies against a lone bogey to move to 7-under 209 while Yuri Fudo kept the pressure on the leader and trimmed her advantage to three shots by shooting a 70 at Tarumae Country Club. Meanwhile, ever-improving defending champion Jang Jeong of South Korea geared up to pounce on Sunday, shooting the day’s low of 68 to share third place with Miki Saiki on 213.
