Joint first-round leader Akiko Fukushima shot her second straight 66 on her favorite course Saturday to open up a four-shot lead after two rounds of the NEC Karuizawa 72 Golf Tournament. Fukushima, winner here in 1996, 2002 and 2003, took command with a pair of birdies in the first five holes and solidified her lead with birdies at Nos. 8, 9, 13 and 16 in a flawless round that moved her to 12-under-par 132 on the Karuizawa 72 Golf North Course. The former U.S. LPGA regular kept up her sparkling play, missing just one green in regulation in her round and she goes into the final round with a comfortable cushion over Akane Iijima, American Paula Creamer, whose round was highlighted by an eagle, and Momoko Ueda, who were tied at 8-under 136.
