Former Costa Rica striker Paulo Wanchope has left FC Tokyo, the J. League first-division club said Saturday.
The former Manchester City striker signed with the Gasmen last December, but was unable to fit in and failed to win a regular place in the starting lineup.
Wanchope, 30, scored two goals in 12 league appearances for FC Tokyo. His last appearance was in the 1-0 defeat at home to Nagoya Grampus on May 26.
