Japan women’s national team coach Hiroshi Ohashi has ordered his players to shoot on sight when “Nadeshiko Japan” takes on Mexico at home in the first leg of Saturday’s crunch playoff for a place at the Women’s World Cup finals.

Japan beat Mexico 2-0 almost four years ago to clinch a spot at the 2003 World Cup in the United States after grinding out a 2-2 draw in the first leg played at an altitude of more than 2,000 meters at Azteca Stadium.
