In-form Japanese striker Naohiro Takahara scored twice as Eintracht Frankfurt reached the semifinals of the German Cup with a 3-0 away win over Kickers Offenbach on Tuesday.
In the 61st minute, Takahara hit a superb volley on a cross from Michael Fink, who scored Frankfurt's first goal in the 11th minute against the second-division side. The Japan striker then made it 3-0 with an easy tap-in 11 minutes later.
"I'm satisfied with the goals in this important match. It's a good step toward the next match," Takahara said. "I want to produce results in Bundesliga matches as well."
