Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters right-hander Yu Darvish re-signed on Saturday with the Pacific League club for an estimated annual salary of 72 million yen -- a 42 million yen pay boost from last season.
The 20-year-old Darvish was accompanied by his agent for the third round of talks in Chiba Prefecture and agreed on the contract, which will pay him performance escalators and 2 million yen more than was initially offered in previous negotiations.
