Japanese World Cup defender Koji Nakata of FC Basel broke his nose during a league match on Sunday, the Swiss first-division club said Monday.
Nakata was substituted in the 30th minute after picking up the injury during the first half of Basel's 2-1 win at home to St. Gallen.
