Japan and South Korea finished in a draw in the Pinx Cup team competition after Sunday's matches were canceled due to inclement weather.

Snow and strong winds forced organizers to cancel the stroke-play doubles matches scheduled for Sunday after both sides halved their opening-day singles matches 12-12 at Pinx Golf Club in Jeju Island.

The result left Japan's record in the annual meet at two wins and three losses with a draw. South Korea won the previous three meetings.

On Saturday, Mikiyo Nishizuka upset U.S. Women's Open champion Birdie Kim 73-77 and Sakura Yokomine scored a narrow 79-80 win over rookie pro Park Hee Young in difficult weather conditions.

Hiromi Mogi, Chieko Amanuma and Midori Yoneyama also racked up wins for Japan while the winners for the host included Bae Kyeong Eun, Shin Hyun Ju and Kim Mi Hyun. Japan captain Yuri Fudo halved her match with Japan LPGA player Lee Ji Hee at 73-73.
