ADELAIDE, Australia – Former Japan striker Kazuyoshi Miura opened his account for Sydney FC with a double but his side were beaten 3-2 away to Adelaide United FC in the Australian A-League on Sunday.
Miura, 38, who joined Sydney earlier this month on a short-term loan deal from J. League club Yokohama FC, struck in the 33rd minute and pulled Sydney level 14 minutes from time only for Fernando Rech to steal it for Adelaide with his second of the match in the 84th.
