Shingo Katayama shot a 2-under-par 70 to take sole possession of the lead after three rounds of the ABC Championship on Saturday, putting himself into position to win his second title in three weeks. He pulled ahead of Toru Taniguchi and Lin Keng-chi with a birdie finish at the par-5 18th.

Taniguchi matched the day’s low round with a bogey-free 67 to move into a share of second place with overnight co-leader Lin, who shot a 71 with three birdies and two bogeys.

Yusaku Miyazato, an elder brother of Japan LPGA star Ai Miyazato, had an even-par 72 and shared fourth.
