U.S. Open champion Michael Campbell of New Zealand, Scottish veteran Colin Montgomerie and Jim Furyk of the United States will play in next month's Dunlop Phoenix, organizers said Wednesday.

The organizers earlier said last year's winner, Tiger Woods, will return to the Nov. 17-20 event at the Phoenix Country Club in Miyazaki -- the richest tournament on this year's Japanese tour with a 200 million yen purse and top prize of 40 million yen.

Campbell won his first major title when he beat Woods by two shots at the U.S. Open in June. Woods claimed two of the four majors this year with his victories in the Masters and British Open.
