GLASGOW, Scotland (Kyodo) Japan midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura had a hand in both goals as Celtic labored to a 2-1 win after extra time over Falkirk in the third round of the Scottish League Cup on Wednesday.

Alan Gow fired visiting Falkirk into a shock 54th-minute lead but Nakamura started the move that led to Celtic's equalizer in the 62nd minute.

The former Reggina man sprayed a 30-meter pass out to Shaun Maloney, who controlled well and laid a perfect pass into the path of Polish striker Maciej Zurawski, who rifled home the equalizer.

Four minutes into extra time, Nakamura delivered a perfect cross into the box where substitute John Hartson headed in the decisive goal.
