Japanese speedskater Yuya Oikawa outclassed the field in the men's 500 meters while compatriot Tomomi Okazaki won the women's 500 on the final day of action at the Summer Classic indoor meet in Canada on Sunday.
Oikawa clocked 35.12 seconds for top honors at the three-day offseason event sanctioned by the ISU while Okazaki came first in the women's competition in 38.56.
In the women's 3,000 meters, Maki Tabata cruised to victory in 4 minutes, 6.15 seconds while second place in the men's 1,000 went to Masaaki Kobayashi.
