MIKI, Hyogo Pref. (Kyodo) South Korean Chang Ik Je fired a bogey-free 6-under-par 64 to move into a three-stroke lead in the third round of the Mitsubishi Diamond Cup on Saturday.

Chang reeled off four birdies through five holes from the fifth at Higashi Hirono Golf Club and birdied both ends of the back nine to close on 3-under 207 ahead of veteran Toshimitsu Izawa.

Izawa stayed in the hunt for his first title of the season with a 67 after offsetting a bogey on the second with four birdies on the demanding par-70 layout for sole possession of second.

Yoneyama bags lead

ICHIHARA, Chiba (Kyodo) Midori Yoneyama fired a 5-under-par 67 to move into a one-shot lead heading into final round of the Kosaido Ladies on Saturday.

Gunning for her second title of the season, Yoneyama climbed from a share of fourth to the top of the board after draining eight birdies against three bogeys at Chiba Kosaido Country Club and leads overnight co-leader Junko Omote with a 36-hole total of 8-under 136.
