Japanese figure skater Yoshie Onda will move her training base from the United States to Canada under new Canadian coach Josee Chouinard, sources close to her said Tuesday.
Onda trained in Virginia under American coach Audrey Weisiger the past year but has decided to part company with her after failing to earn a spot in last year's world championships, they said. Chouinard is a former national champion and represented Canada at the 1992 and 1994 Olympic Games.
