Teenager Mero Narita came from behind with a brilliant performance to win her first women's halfpipe title at a World Cup snowboarding competition on Saturday.

The 17-year-old Narita earned a high score of 45.0 on her second run in the first of two competitions in the men's and women's halfpipe at the Sungwoo Resort.

Narita placed second to Swede Luara Manuela Pesko in the second competition after marking 40.3 on her second run and took pole position in the overall halfpipe rankings with 3,390 points.
