Japanese teenager Mero Narita came in second for her first podium finish in the women's half-pipe, while her older brother Domu Narita took third in the men's event at a snowboarding World Cup meet Thursday.

The 17-year-old Mero, who leads the World Cup standings with 1,300 points after two events, placed runnerup to American Gretchen Bleiler, who outpointed her 42.4 to 41.4.

Her 19-year-old brother Domu came in third with 42.1 in the men's event, which was won by Finn Annti Autti (47.1).
