Finland's Hannu Manninen held his lead after the cross country sprint to win his fifth straight Nordic combined World Cup competition at a meet in Sapporo on Saturday.

Manninen, who leads the overall World Cup standings, took a 17 second lead after the 10-km sprint and won his seventh title of the season with 226.8 points. Ronny Akermann of Germany came second. Third place went to Norway's Magnus Moan.
