Top favorite Tap Dance City charged home to victory in the 45th-running of the Takarazuka Kinen to win his career second Grade One race on Sunday.

With jockey Tetsuzo Sato at the irons, Tap Dance City clocked a time of 2 minutes, 11.1 seconds on the 2,200-meter turf at Hanshin Racecourse.

Sato and trainer Shozo Sasaki took home of 130 million yen in prize money for winning the grand finale of the spring thoroughbred racing season for the first time ever.

Lohengrin gained an early lead before Tap Dance City made a move to the front rounding the third turn and went on to beat runnerup Silk Famous by two whole lengths.

Zenno Rob Roy crossed before Tenno Sho runnerup Lincoln in a photo finish for third.
