TOYOTA, Aichi Pref. (Kyodo) Midori Yoneyama shot a steady 3-under-par 69 in blustery conditions on Friday to take the lead after the first round of the Chukyo TV Bridgestone Ladies Open.
The 28-year-old local favorite knocked down two birdies on the front nine of the windswept Chukyo Golf Club and added a third on the par-4 10th in a bogey free round to lead a group of six golfers by one shot.
