Yuka Kamino dominated both the 500 and 1,500 meter events to take the overall lead in the women's field at the short track speedskating national championships on Saturday.
Kamino, who is seeking her second straight national title, clocked 46.410 seconds in the 500 and 2:40.017 in the 1,500 for a total of 68 points on the first day of competition at Yamabiko Skating Complex in Okaya, Nagano Prefecture.
