HAKUBA, Nagano Pref. (Kyodo) Domu Narita outclassed the field to claim victory in the men's snowboard halfpipe on Wednesday while younger sister Mero took top honors in the women's event on the final day of the 2004 Kissmark Cup Japan Open.

Domu, 18, who captured a bronze medal at a World Cup event in Canada in December, collected 41.6 points for standard air rotations and overall impression in a crisp routine at the Happo-one ski area.

Following in second was Fumiyuki Murakami with a total 41.5, while Daisuke Murakami placed third with a score of 40.0. Mero, 16, produced a score of 34.7 in a solid performance to outperform runnerup Soko Yamaoka (33.8), who won the gold in the women's halfpipe at the December World Cup in Canada.
