Second favorite Admire Groove romped to victory to give jockey Yutaka Take an unprecedented third straight Queen Elizabeth Cup crown on Sunday.

The 3-year-old filly surged into the lead down the final straight at Kyoto Racecourse before holding off top favorite Still In Love by a nose for its first Grade One victory.

Take’s victory was his fifth of the day and 182nd of the year, a Japan Racing Association record.
