J. League first division side Jubilo Iwata said Tuesday they released their goalkeeper Arno Van Zwam of the Netherlands the same day over disagreements between the club and the player. Van Zwam joined the team in 2000 and has competed in 74 league matches so far.

Although his contract with Jubilo runs until Dec. 31, Van Zwam, who turned 34 on Tuesday, was released because of a dispute over the way he is used in league matches, according to the officials.

In his place, Jubilo acquired Yohei Sato, 30, from J-2 division side Consadole Sapporo on loan until Jan. 31 next year, the team said.
