Kozo Ishii will challenge WBC super bantamweight champion Oscar "Chololo" Larios of Mexico for his title on Aug. 10 in Nagoya, Tenyu Maruki Gym officials said Tuesday.

It will be seventh-ranked Ishii's third crack at a world title following his unsuccessful bids in 1999 and 2000. Ishii, 25, has a record of 31 wins, including 21 knockouts, against three losses.

The 27-year-old Larios, who suffered a fractured jaw beating Shigeru Nakazato in defending the title for the third time in Tokyo in April, is 48-3-1 with 33 KOs.
